One of the originators of the idea of the University of the Arctic, W.O. Heal (Bill), has sadly passed away on Jan 17, 2021.

UArctic Board member Lene Kielsen Holm has sadly passed away on January 10, 2021. UArctic extends our deepest condolences to Lene's family and friends, and the entire Arctic research community that knew her and had such great respect for her work. 

The Arctic Yearbook is calling for abstracts for its 2021 volume - the 10th anniversary edition. This year's theme is “Defining and Mapping the Arctic: Sovereignties, Policies and Perceptions”. Deadline for abstracts is March 1, 2021.
