The successful candidate will be the lead point of contact for ACCAP, whose mission is to conduct innovative and collaborative research and engagement to inform climate policy, decision making, and action for a just and sustainable future. ACCAP seeks a collaborative individual who can help fulfill the commitment to building partnerships that make climate-related science directly relevant to policy, management, and decision making and improve the ability of Alaskans to respond to a changing climate. This position offers the opportunity to learn and work in a highly dynamic and collaborative environment and to build professional relationships with leading scientists and practitioners in climate research and adaptation throughout Alaska. The individual will be instrumental in building and maintaining networks and guiding innovative processes that support climate research and adaptation. The successful candidate will support and manage team integration; develop and maintain connections across people, projects, and organizations; and synthesize program activities for diverse audiences. Travel opportunities will be available. Applicants must be legally eligible for unrestricted employment to work in the U.S. No work visas will be sponsored for this position.

Required education and experience includes a Master’s degree and two years relevant experience at the postgraduate level in geography, political science, sociology, economics, climate science, natural resource management, ecology, Indigenous studies, community and rural development, or other related fields relevant to this position, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
