Position announcement: Assistant/Associate Professor of Natural Resource, Environmental, or Energy Policy and Management at University of Alaska Anchorage
The Institute of Social and Economic Research (ISER) at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) seeks to fill a tripartite tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in natural resource, environmental, or energy policy and management to conduct research on these issues with respect to Alaska’s economy, public finance, communities, and environment.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in a natural-resources, environmental policy, energy, or a related field, including public policy or economics. Ph.D. candidates with expected degree completion by August 2022 will be considered. Candidates must have training, experience, and interest, and have demonstrated research in natural resource, environmental, or energy-related policy issues. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong empirical research skills, including expertise in quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods research methodologies, data acquisition and management, and public policy analysis. The successful candidate must also demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, teaching ability, the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams, and the ability to develop research proposals and successfully lead and complete research projects.
The position will remain open until January 31, 2022. Review of applications will begin on February 1, 2022.
