Culture, knowledge, and skills across generations and borders
Bridging generations and cultures, this initiative celebrates traditional knowledge and community connections
An inspiring workshop brought together youth and Elders from Kalaallit Nunaat and Nunavut to share knowledge, skills, and cultural traditions. Hosted in Sisimiut (Kalaallit Nunaat) in June 2025, the project bridges both geographical and generational distances, focusing on seal skin techniques, community, and the exchange of traditional knowledge. This initiative was developed in collaboration with the Qaujigiartiit Health Research Centre, the Centre for Public Health in Greenland, Qeqqata Kommunia, and Kalaallisuuliornermik Ilinniarfik, with support from UArctic and linked to the Thematic Network on Health and Well-being in the Arctic.
