"Arctic Futures – Innovations in Education for Social Justice and Sustainability" Special Issue Published Following Inaugural Arctic Education Conference
Funded by the UArctic Norwegian Funding, the inaugural Arctic Education Conference was hosted by University of Lapland in Rovaniemi in September 2024. The Thematic Network for Teacher Education for Social Justice and Diversity have subsequently published a special edition of the Education in the North Journal entitled 'Arctic Futures - innovations in education for social justice and sustainability'.
The editorial board comprised of Network members, Tuija Turunen, Outi Kyrö-Ämmälä, Mhairi C Beaton, and Minna Maunula were delighted that so many Network members chose to submit their work to this special issue with fifteen research articles, four feature articles and two books reviews focusing on educational research across the circumpolar North.
