Apply now for the Polar Winter School in Lapland
The UArctic Thematic Network on High Latitude Dust (HLD) co-organizes the 3rd Polar Winter School on snow measurements and Arctic air pollution in Kilpisjärvi, Lapland, on 12-18 April 2026.
The program includes a week of immersive learning with courses on snow hydrology, glaciology, air pollution, and avalanche safety, delivered by the experts from Finland, Czech Republic and Iceland. The partners are the Thematic Network on Nordic Snow Network (NordSnowNet) and Cryoscope.

𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀: partially covered by the organisers, but participants must pay individually these items:
- flight ticket from their home destination to Tromso, Rovaniemi or Kittilä
- Accommodation and food ~ 550 € (MSc. and Bc. students)/ 900 € (PhD students)
- Local transport from/to the airport ~ 180 €
- Travel insurance
