UArctic represented at EU Arctic Forum 2026

UArctic is represented at the EU Arctic Forum, Indigenous Peoples’ Dialogue and Arctic Youth Dialogue, taking place in Brussels, Belgium, on 1-2 September 2026.

Arctic Six (A6), which serves as a UArctic Regional Centre in the Nordic Arctic, is represented at the forum with a booth, hosted by UArctic Vice-President Networks Kirsi Latola. The Arctic Six brings together six leading universities in the European Arctic and supports collaboration and engagement across the region.

UArctic Executive Vice-President Jouko Niinimäki and UArctic President Lars Kullerud are also participating in the forum.

On September 2, Lars Kullerud will deliver a keynote on Arctic research and science from 09:00–09:10, together with Charlina Vitcheva, Director-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries at the European Commission.

The EU Arctic Forum brings together Arctic Indigenous Peoples, youth, policymakers, researchers and other stakeholders to exchange perspectives on the future of the Arctic and strengthen dialogue and cooperation.
