Close ties lead to stronger collaboration within the UArctic network
Aix-Marseille University recently hosted UArctic Secretary General Outi Snellman for a meeting together with representatives of various units and leadership of the University.
Aix-Marseille University’s International Relations Office and the Vice-President International Relations Jean-François Marchi and academics from the Faculty of Law and Political Science and the Observatory of Sciences of the Universe - Pytheas Institute were happy to host a productive work session with UArctic Secretary General Outi Snellman on January 19, 2026.
Aix-Marseille University constantly develops its effective involvement in the various activities of the network, and the constructive exchanges on UArctic news and opportunities facilitate the Aix-Marseille community’s engagement in UArctic. They also strenghten its contributions to the collective efforts for Arctic sustainability.
The stimulating discussions with Marie Lamoureux and Éloïse Gennet, professors at the Faculty of Law and Political Science, as well as Jean-Luc Beuzit, Dean of the Observatory of Sciences of the Universe - Pytheas Institute, will guide the current developments arising from Aix-Marseille University.
The meeting was organized by the International Relations Office, with Camille de Garidel-Thoron, Director of the Strategic Projects and Networks Unit; Auri Kostama-Goerger, International Project Coordinator and one of AMU’s UArctic Assembly Representatives; and Elsa Boitel, International Cooperation Officer covering Europe.
