Midnight Sun Summit in Mathematics and Engineering: Building Bridges Between Theory and Practice
Midnight Sun Summit in Mathematics and Engineering (MSSME), organized by the Departments of Mathematics and Statistics and of Computer Science and Computational Engineering at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, will take place on June 15-19, 2026 in Narvik, Norway.
Objectives of the conference:
- To highlight recent advances and outstanding challenges in fields where mathematics and engineering intersect.
- To foster an environment conducive to networking and interdisciplinary exchange.
- To provide a platform for researchers at all career stages—from graduate students to internationally recognized scholars—to share and discuss their work.
- To enhance collaboration with industry partners.
- To strengthen ties between Scandinavia and the international research community.
Call for Abstracts:
We intend to publish a volume of conference proceedings, and all speakers will have the option of submitting their paper for its rigorous refereeing and publication. Note it is also possible to present ongoing work by submitting non-archival abstracts.
Abstract submission deadline: March 6, 2026.
