Panelists have been announced for the third session of the 2026 UArctic Webinar Series, Arctic Waste: Challenges and Community Solutions, taking place online on September 23, 2026. Bringing together experts from academic, municipal, and sustainability backgrounds, the panel will explore waste management challenges facing Arctic and Northern communities, while highlighting community-driven solutions, circular economy approaches, innovative technologies, and collaborative strategies that support sustainable resource management, environmental stewardship, and community resilience.

Each panelist brings unique experience and insight into waste management and sustainability across Arctic and Northern contexts. Together, they will explore the challenges Northern communities face in managing waste, while highlighting community-driven solutions, circular economy approaches, innovative technologies, and collaborative strategies for reducing waste and improving resource management. Drawing on perspectives from academia, municipal government, and the UArctic network, the discussion will also examine how research, policy, and community partnerships can work together to strengthen environmental stewardship and support more sustainable and resilient Northern communities.
