John Walsh, a climate scientist at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF), has received the Mohn Prize for his outstanding research in the Arctic. An award ceremony will take place during the Arctic Frontiers conference in Tromsø, Norway from 31 January-3 February 2022. Warm congratulations!


A two-day international conference on talents acquisition to the Arctic began its work on November 15, 2021 at Northern (Arctic) Federal University in Arkhangelsk, Russia. The event is a part of the Russian chairmanship of the Arctic Council in 2021–2023.


The Rovaniemi Arctic Spirit Conference 2021 has now begun and will go on for two days: 16-17 November. The topic of the conference is: A common Arctic or contested spaces? Perspectives on the opportunities and challenges of the Barents and Arctic cooperation.
