Yarns and Yarns is a virtual knitting and storytelling circle connecting people around the North. Folk from places as far apart as Anchorage, Oslo and Benbecula hooked up with the knitters in the library for a virtual sharing of stories and a love of knitting.
Dale Jarvis, the executive director of Heritage NL, started off the event with a fine folktale and Siun Carden kept everyone enthralled with her stories about her woolly experiences from Shetland. There are other Yarns and Yarns events being planned and it looks like the next one will come from North Uist in Scotland.
