The meeting was kicked off in Tuesday in Oslo by visits to the Norwegian Parliament, hosted by the Standing Committee of Arctic Parliamentarians and meetings with the incoming Norwegian Chairship of the Arctic Council and UArctic’s External Evaluation Team.
On the Wednesday, the Board travelled to Bergen for the internal meeting. In the meeting, they discussed about UArctic’s annual activity reports, the communication strategy, membership fees, UArctic Constitution and Bylaws amendments and financial procedures, as well as development of UArctic’s philanthropic fundraising activities. They also discussed about development of UArctic’s engagement to Arctic Council activities.
The meeting was held in Bergen, hosted by University of Bergen and Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Center. On the reception hosted by University of Bergen, the Board met directors and researchers from a variety of disciplines. The meeting program in Bergen included also a visit to the University Museum of Bergen and exploration of the beautiful city of Bergen.
