In addition, the participants agreed to study the legal issues related to reindeer herding and the guarantees of indigenous peoples' traditional way of living. Using the results of the discussion, the drafts of the regulations on the federal and regional level will be prepared. This will ensure the sustainable socio-economic development of the Arctic territories.
The forum is supported by the Russian State Duma and the Government of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District. It was attended by the representatives of international, federal and regional institutions.
